Hi there! > 1] Why do you try to manipulate map panning while infowindow is open > and api takes care of panning in a nice way.
But It doesn't in this case. As I said, when gmaps goes from maximized to restored infowindow, it does some panning. But it does not fully return the view to the position prior to the maximization (to best test that . See this demo page for an illustration: click the marker, notice the view, then click maximize, then click restore. You'll see that the prior view is not fully restored. http://gmaps-samples.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/megawindow/maxcontent_simple.html That's why I also use returnToSavedPosition(). But I want returnToSavedPosition() to just return from wherever the view happens to be exactly when it is triggered to the saved position, not first briefly jump to a position further north. As I said, my goal is to move smoothly from a maximized infowindow to a restored infowindow at the exact view the map had prior to maximization. The users of the map will maximize/restore windows a lot and so I do not want that to be noticeably jittery. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Maps API" group.
