Your message does indicate that you can generate a key which works for
your IP address. I take it you are generating a key for a directory-
level URL, and not including the filename. What is the value of
window.location.host when you use your domain name to access the map?

You may need to investigate key-switching mechanisms. Michael Geary
has an elegant solution in this thread:
