We are using a google mash-up in a class website at our university. As a class assignments, students are to create KML files via Google MyMaps, and then add them to the class website. Students are encouraged to use their own iconology, and many are using graduated symbols to display their data.
The problem is that we are using GGeoXML to show external KML's, and we found out that it displays ALL icon markers at 32x32 pixels, regardless of how it is defined in the KML. Oddly, this does not happen in Google MyMaps. We have also tried using EGeoXML but then found out that the KML file must be hosted on the same server to get this to work. Short from building our own KML parser (we don't have the time as classes have begun), I am hoping that someone can help us find an alternative solution to our problem.
