Yes there is a 'click' GEvent for a polyline. It returns the click
point GLatLng().
See an old quick test:

As you can see, the click-sensing area depends on line weight. So if
you draw your lines on map with 1px or 2px, you can have a thicker
but invisible copy of the line just for sensing the clicks. (opacity
0);
