Hi Richard, The Google Earth Enterprise system comes with a snapshot of the Maps API that can be used for loading your maps on internal sites, even those without access to external domains like google.com. The documentation included with the software has instructions on how to set this up, and there are a few tutorials on the Google Earth Enterprise Group that Pamela pointed you to.
The group is open for customers only and there is a verification process. If you are having trouble getting approved, you can send me email directly and I can help. Thanks, Bryan On Oct 21, 6:46 pm, RickP <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > I have searched the Google Maps API web pages and have been unable to > find much information about whether it can be used with locally hosted > maps (we already have a Google Earth Enterprise license). > > Google Earth Enterprise does serve up 2D maps as well as the 3D Google > Earth data and we'd like to embed a map in an internal webpage and use > kml files to disply overlays. > > Is there an Enterprise version of the API? > > Is there a way of pointing the API at the local server rather than the > public Google Map servers? > > Any help would be appreciated. > > Thanks > > Richard --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Maps API" group.
