Here is a link to a public-domain shapefile of thousands of geocoded address points in Austin TX.
ftp://coageoid01.ci.austin.tx.us/GIS-Data/Regional/address_points/addpt.zipftp://coageoid01.ci.austin.tx.us/GIS-Data/Regional/address_points/addpt.zip All you have to do is convert the shapefile to KML, which is doable in many different ways. (I just use my Manifold GIS application. There also are shape-to-kml converters out there.) I have files of hundreds or thousands of placemarks in KML files, which gracefully display in Google Earth or ArcGis Explorer (not so gracefully in Google Maps). But I can't share them with you because the content is private.
