I've been looking for a workaround for this problem for quite some
time now.

I have a tool tip function that fires on mouseover events, however
when a marker falls within an info window's div, or it's shadow's div
the mouseover events do not fire.

you can click on the markers just fine - and I have accepted this, but
I sent the app over to a friend to test and he wanted to know why he
could not mouse over and see the tool tips while the balloon was open.

here is a link that starts with an info window that auto opens.

Notice the marker in the shadow under the balloon for example (as well
as some others on there) do not get the tooltips when moused over.

I outlined the block level elements and all of the markers fall within
the boundary of that info window's div:

I searched the groups/net and could not find anything on this.

The only thing I can think of is setting the z-index of the markers to
be higher that the info window -- but then I don't want the markers on
top of the info windows when they are open.

I suppose it's not that big a deal -- but I was wondering if anyone
else noticed this as a problem -- and if there are some workarounds?
