As Larry has pointed out in another thread (but I'll say again here just in case someone finds this thread instead), to use v2.s is bad advice. This will mean that most of the useful recent extensions to the API will not be available. It's far better to fix the problems which are occurring with your code and v2 -- particularly when it's as easy as changing an obsolete v1 constant into the current v2 one.
