I accidentally entered: http://maps.google.com/maps/geo?q=1600+Amphitheatre+Parkway,+Mountain+View,+CA&output=xml
and did not specify the key in the request. It still yielded the correct result. Also if key is replaced with key121 e.g. http://maps.google.com/maps/geo?q=1600+Amphitheatre+Parkway,+Mountain+View,+CA&output=xml&key12121=abc it will works. For the Http Geocoding Service (geocoding via Http requests), how is the domain associated with the key validated (since it is can be a server side call also; not necessarily from client browser)? Or is it that just the key is validated for http geocoding requests from server (assuming the above bug is fixed)? --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Maps API" group.
