here is one that uses xml to extract addresses like a phonebook:

search for "mings","reds","cj","quidoba",or "rice shop"
if you click on the picture inside the infowindow a link to a new page with
the menu will come up.
another map phonebook/xml utilizes embed video:
http://jonserr.com/phoneBook/lab10obj3c.html
search for "chinatown","msg","john","jane","radiocity" the markers with
embeded videos are
keyword "pia" and"mikki"
if alerts come up click ok. then click search again, i have to fix bugs.
also this map utilizes reverse geocoding. try clicking anywhere in the map
and  a infowindow of the nearest address will pop-up.

but as far as a WOW the client map api no i don't have one i'm
primirily a rethoucher who dabbles in javascript and web coding on the side
and not a designer. hope this was informative.
