You can also use GeoCommons - upload your shapefile and export as KML
or CSV. You can also use Geocommons to make a Google Maps mashup.

If you want another solution - Shape2Earth that works with the free
and open source GIS software MapWindow. The Shape2Earth plugin is free
for less than 500 record shapefiles and gives you a number of options
to style the kml. The points, lines, or polygons will keep the same
symbology you set in MapWindow.
