problem, Andrew the key is generated from Googles site and i just copy
and paste, i have even tried replacing the & with & but still no

file=api&v=2&key=ABQIAAAAvYuSHWrkXElV_Gd2EEH88xSMPv9gSDs8qhcb9NpWDBHgwbTWyhQN71-5sYK-9TDUHjI4wggql584iw"
type="text/javascript">

//"
function load() {
if (GBrowserIsCompatible()) {
var map = new GMap2(document.getElementById("map"))
map.setMapType(G_HYBRID_MAP);
map.setCenter(new GLatLng(50.72, -1.98), 13);
map.addControl(new GSmallMapControl());
map.addControl(new GMapTypeControl());
}
}//
