'Larry' nailed a problem for me a while ago by pointing out that
opening an infowindow with tabs takes enough time so that a delay must
be coded before any, say, micro-map and marker, cd be written to one
of the tabs.

That worked well, but the needed time delay seems to be growing
gradually, which makes sense, since network delays, server activity,
all contribute to the amount of delay needed. It's gone from two to
four seconds for me, and you necessarily must design for the worst
case. Not a good user experience, since I'm sure that there's many
times of the day when the needed delay cd be minimal.

Is there a 'rendering complete' event, or something else that wd
permit detecting its completion? Any thoughts here, folks?
