clane967 isn't a guy, she's Colette.

Tine, this Group isn't the place for anti-virus advice: it's a Group
about the Google Maps API.

I can't tell whether the hijacked link delivered malware or not.
Certainly a full scan with up-to-date AVG shows my machine doesn't
have any, but then I normally use Firefox for the Group, and that
doesn't run ActiveX. If AVG is showing you have something, it should
be fairly safe to follow their instructions to get rid of it.

I did post a warning that the links were hijacked. That may have been
a product of the server error, but should have been a warning not to
click them! It is possible for moderators to do all sorts of things
with posts, but the last time I checked (in Firefox!) the links seemed
to be OK.

Moral: you can't trust anything.
