I'm currently working on a project that requires something similar to the youtube layer that is available at maps.google.com. I've noticed that while the panoramio and wikipedia layers are available to the maps API, currently the youtube layer is unsupported. The project is due in about a month; anyone have any ideas as to whether I should start working on my own implementation or whether the youtube layer will be available to the maps API?
