ya ofcourse we can make use of google map in mobile phones
if u r using iphone ...there is a method called locate manager
( CORELOCATION FRAMEWORK) using this u can find out ur current
position LOngitude and latitude
..load the map with this longitude and latitude
so many javascripts are available to solve your problem...
