I get the sample problem in IE7 as well in my code which is similar.
This is a serious problem that needs to get addressed.

Larry's comment about http://www.geocodezip.com/polygonTool.asp  not
having the issue may have to do with the fact that in his example, the
polygon never closes (there is no segment from the last vertex back to
the first which is visibly noticable and not acceptable for our
application).

It looks like the polygon feature is unstable and we need a response
from google to confirm that as this is an easily reproducible bug
right from googlecode.com (
