Hi,

I'm still trying to figure out, who is faulty here: Google's JS or the
IE 8. Or do I something wrong?

First: Here is the simple map again:

http://maps.alphadex.de/maps/testmaptype2.html

The problem: While clicking on the map the GLog window traces the
position information provided by the "click" handler. This position info
is WRONG with IE8. Here is, what should be displayed for 3 major cities
(or something slightly different, depending on the mouse position)

Hamburg
53.57946149373229, 9.9755859375

Berlin
52.522905940278065, 13.38134765625

Munich
48.151428143221224, 11.5576171875

With IE8 under Windows 7 I get a longitude of 23.xx for Berlin and other
errors. This has been confirmed by one user for IE8/Windows7 and for
another for IE8/XP, although I could not see the error with the latter
combination. No problems with FF, IE7 and Chrome. I'm not sure now, how
to address this issue.

Would you mind to assist me and report your results? Please for IE8 only.

Regards
