Hi all, this is a neophyte question. I have a map that loads a few
different KML layers. A couple of the layers are polygons, the other
three are point data.

I am trying, without success so far, to set a different icon color for
one of the point layers, known as "kml3" in the attached map. The
standard google map point color is blue, I would like this one
particular point layer to be red.

The link to the map is here:

http://kmldir.s3.amazonaws.com/mitigation_icon_color_test.html

In this map, you will notice that the kml3 layer (associated with the
Mitigation Projects clickbox) is not displaying at all, most probably
because I mangled it with a poorly defined icon option.

First I defined the redIcon thusly:

var redIcon = new GIcon(G_DEFAULT_ICON);
    redIcon.image = "http://gmaps-samples.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/
markers/red/blank.png";

Then I try to load it this way:

var kml3 = new GGeoXml("http://pipes.yahoo.com/pipes/pipe.run?
_id=f196ec06d5927deb2191e246b87d7093&_render=kml,redIcon");
map.addOverlay(kml3);

It's the wrong approach, and I know it.

I would appreciate any tips. Thanks much. - Seldom
