Hi Everyone! Yes I suspected that the PANEs were the problem but I couldnt seem to find any reference to them in the API. ANYWAYS I SOLVED IT! Ended up attaching the overlays to the G_MAP_MARKER_PANE and setting thier zIndex using GOverlay.getZIndex (latlng.lat()) - 99999. Seemed to work OK As long as they dont flicker I dont really care about much else!
