On my N95 Google Maps for Mobile (once installed) is registered as the
default program for .KML filetypes.
So trying to open a .KML file - using File Manager for example - will
open the KML file with Google Maps for Mobile.

Could your application generate a small KML file and request the OS
opens that KML file?

Martin.
