I tried using your sample code to display a map and I keep getting the message, "Google Maps API server rejected your request" Then it goes on to say that the API key was possibly registered to a different web site. I am testing this on a "Staging" (pre-production) server which doesn't use URLs. The server runs SunOne (aka iPlanet) and each web site is accessed using an IP and port (each site is password protected since it is accessible by the internet).
I tried generating a key using the IP and port (eg. http://148.177.1.33:8126 not the real IP). and that didn't work. Then I tried generating a key using the gateway IP - no luck. There is no proxy and I don't know what IP Google maps is seeing. Is there any way of me finding that out? There is a firewall between the staging server and the internet. Any specific ports in the firewall to worry about?
