I agree with Ross. Also would like to add that it causes unnecessary pain also for Google servers.
Still I made a quick test. I modified one of my old geocoding pages to send a geocoding request on 'keyup' event. http://esa.ilmari.googlepages.com/temp_geosuggest.htm The functionality is slightly different from a real 'suggest' behavior.
