Hi Ross, Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions.
I am not going to modify the content of the map data at all, I am not going to even download the map data to my server. All I want is the user to get the URL to the static map and download it himself into a browser class of the IPhone SDK. Thus I technically am not breaking any term. As to the "proffesionalizm" of a lawyer I really doubt they will give me a good answer in a timely manner considering this is a very technical (somewhat) evasive question. I could go the OSM way but it will require more development time, I would rather use the Google Maps solution since it also looks a bit nicer. (and I have written most of the code already) And I would really appreciate if there was some official google guy who could respond on my question (all due respect to you Ross). Thanks, Roman On May 8, 11:30 am, Rossko <[email protected]> wrote: > > Thanks for your reply, to fine tune my question - the only part that > > is somewhat relevant is the web browser. > > The way I read your description, you are loading the static map image > into some server process , adding content i.e. modifying them, and > then passing along to end users. > > I think you're breaking terms on two or three counts there, but I'm no > lawyer. > > > Can I please get an official Google response on this? > > If you want a Google response, you must ask Google (this is a > developers forum).
