I've seen this problem many times. Using our map at:
http://maps.huge.info/zip.htm or http://www.usnaviguide.com Entering zip 30115 in the zip code inquiry field brings up the correct zip code but entering it in the address search bar, which is powered by the Google geocoder, brings up Eastman, GA, which is about 100 miles to the south-south-east. Not a lot you can do if you're using the API's geocoder, they just have a lot of incorrect zip code data. There are even valid zip codes that take you to Venus, Italy rather than the US, so go figure. Just remember, a geocoder is more art than science, so a few misplaced points doesn't mean it's all bad. -John Coryat http://maps.huge.info http://www.usnaviguide.com http://www.zipmaps.net --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Maps API" group.
