Mike, Awesome! it works fine now. I spent hours to figure out the problem but failed.
Btw the documentation of checkResize() says: "Notifies the map of a change of the size of its container. Call this method after the size of the container DOM object has changed, so that the map can adjust itself to fit the new size." There is no mention that it should be called even if the visibility of the container is changed as the size of the container remains same always. Anyway ... Thank you so much.
