To be fair, you can't run a debugger on text in this group; text
cannot be relied on as an accurate representation (character sets,
line lengths etc get butchered); not everyone would want to load known
faulty code on their own server; not everyone who might otherwise help
would be bothered to do that anyway.  And it could in anycase be an
unfair comparison because it's not the same environment - say the
poster's ISP is 'helpfully' inserting html adverts.
If its a really easy one-line demo ... its just as easy for the poster
(the one most intersted in fixing it) to produce a live example.
Reach a wider audience, get help faster!  I've never understood the
reluctance to do this, but its all been done to death many times
before and no point raking it over yet again.

I'm still not convinced that getting an error, however dramatic, when
not following the documentation is a bug ... but there's no harm in
flagging it :)
