It looks to me like you perform this:

var mapObj = document.getElementById("map");
if (mapObj != "undefined" && mapObj != null) {
   map = new GMap2(document.getElementById("map"));
}

before this:

document.write('<div id="map" style="width: 300px; height: 
350px"><\/div>');

So mapObj is null at that point, so you don't create the map.


I can't be certain that's what's going on because Venkman can't see your 
code.
