You are correct they are generated serverside and tiles generated will
all the markers as one image.

Easiest would be just to do a search until get a single isolated dot,
over a constant colour patch of map, and the cut it out with a
graphics package (from a prt-scn).

But really the dimple is not that hard to recreate. Its just a circle
with a bit of shadow.
