If you're going to be writing your own description by hand, then you 
might as well capture the polyline at the same time. Then you can serve 
your description and the saved polyline without calling GDirections.

If you're generating your own description with some code, then I'd 
suggest allowing GDirections to create its description, but tell it to 
put the disclaimer plus description into a hidden div, and display a 
separate copy of the disclaimer in a visible div yourself.
