Thanks Andrew for the quick response.

Your response confirms that the map is working!   I previously tried
clearing the cache on my browser, but didn't work.so now tried
clearing the cookies and the map is back!  Thanks a bundle

Regarding speed, usually I have no problems with all markers
appearing, but I do have a fast computer with a fast connection.  Your
suggestion to start with the markers hidden is an interesting one, as
I probably should accommodate those with older equipment.
