That is a good tip. Is there any example of adding a rotated
GroundOverlay from a kml-file using Canvas?

Yes, they are made with a different projection. But they are made by
many different people, and thus I have no control over the projection
used. I have only got a jpg and the bounding box information (nw, sw,
ne, se corners), and need to show them on Google Maps - preferably on
a mobile device.
