Hello, I'm trying to do something relatively simple and have found various pieces of the puzzle but was wondering if anyone has put them all together. Here's an article that seems to have what I need in many different steps and pieces:
http://www.webmonkey.com/tutorial/Get_Local_Search_Results_With_Google_Maps_and_Ajax_APIs I am creating an app where a user can select a school. I plan on asking the user their zipcode and school type (elementary, h.s.) and then feeding that into a search to display all schools in that zipcode on a map. i.e. 54313 Elementary Schools My map would then be populated with a lettered icon, with a corresponding list of results that match the letters. I would like the location info to show when the user hovers over the marker. When the marker is selected or the corresonding result from the list is selected, I would then take that info and use it my next page. Does anyone have any code or know of a control that can do this for me without writing anything? I'm in a pinch for time, otherwise writing this would be fun. The Local Search Control doesn't seem to have enough flexibility for me, but is close to what I need.
