The problem may be your configuration settings in IE because in IE
XmlHttpRequest relies upon ActiveX, so depending upon the user's
browser-settings, they may be prompted or even just ignore activex
invocation...You can also adjust these settings in IE7.

it would help if you have a link to the map that is not working, then
we can see if we get the same issue in our browser...
