Yes, I thought it would be answers you'd be interested in, rather than the similar questions "8 is the largest resultset that you can return from the local search" "The limit to 8 results is due to data licensing contracts." "How do I obtain the "next 8" results ... The API provides no method to do this. " all referring to LocalSearch, so I think that won't suit the task. LocalSearch is not the only Google AJAX Search API, but ... "There is a maximum of 64 results returned for the Search APIs and there is no way to get more" seems pretty definite. I presume you got your 5,000 headcount of whatevers from a regular Google search - do you know what proportion have any associated geo- information in reality? It might be tiny, but I suppose still greater than 64. You might scan the world, location by location, getting the 'top 8' results at each point, and de-duplicate later .. almost certainly in violation of Google's terms about scraping and storing their data using automated means though. I can't see another way here. cheers, Ross K --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Maps API" group.
