It's only possible to be certain how the Javascript key validation 
works, because it's the only one that we can see source code for. One 
would hope that the key validation on the server and the key validation 
in the Earth plugin would work the same way, but it's possible that 
there might be subtle differences.

In the Javascript validation, if window.location.host is 
"doval.musictutorial.org" then the parent domain "musictutorial.org" 
will also be tested to see if it matches the hashed key. Therefore a key 
generated for either of those will work.

The Google Earth API discussion community seems to think that the same 
validation rules apply.
