We have a map with a few hundred points scattered across the U.S. In addition, there is an overlay provided by a third party. We are getting occasional reports of users seeing "unresponsive script" errors and dead / hung browsers after they doubleclick to zoom in on an area of the map. (note we have not changed the default doubleclick behavior)
I have been able to reproduce this by doubleclicking several times in a row (in FF 3.5.2 on Mac 10.5.8). Map can be found at http://local.1sky.org/en/index/groups/ questions: a: can others reproduce this on non mac / non ffx browsers? b: any guidance / recommendations on eliminating this problem? redherring: I did run this test under firefox / firebug a few times and randomly hit the pause button on the javascript debugger. (unscientific, I know -- I'd love recommendations on a better way to track this down). It appears that we are consistently looping somewhere in event-min.js, somewhere around line 25. /redherring --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Maps API" group.
