Is there native support for defining routes along rivers in the Google Map API (just like with street routes)? My searches have been thus far fruitless.
I would like users to be able to click a start point and an end point on a river, then have the API trace the route. With the route defined, the coords can be worked with in a variety of ways (closest boat launch, water level monitor, possible boating hazards like downed trees, etc). If this functionality doesn't exist, I am looking for any input on how to handle the situation. I was thinking that I would have to manually go through and input boundaries for the river (both banks all the way along). This prevents this user from registering their river points on land, as well as contributing to the river routing functionality. Does that make sense? Any input is appreciated --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Maps API" group.
