I wonder if the GGeoXml limits are now applied to the sum of all the active GGeoXml calls. Previously the limits were applied to each individual GGeoXml call, which made it possible to bypass the limits by splitting your data into multiple shorter KML files.
The Panaramio and Wikipedia data are layers. That's completely different technology from KML overlays, and there are no limits for that. [The various GLayer data sources are merged in the server, so all you get on the client side is a single tile layer overlay (plus hotspot management) whereas for a KML overlay, you get lots of indvidual markers, polylines, polygons, screenoverlays, etc. Perhaps you could try using GeoXml instead of GGeoXml. GeoXml does not enforce limits, so there's nothing to protect you from making your map run too slow. -- Mike Williams http://econym.org.uk/gmap --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Maps API" group.
