I'm sorry, the thread gets a little confusing with all my replies. Let me re-explain :
I'm developing a web-mapping application with GoogleMaps API and just added the "earth" type. I use a "markerManager" [1] to add markers. When changing the type to "earth", the markers icon changes for a small red [X]. Since the online application is secured, I tried to make a small example that might show the problem [2] but it doesn't. Plus, when switching to "earth", the map becomes black and it takes quite a while to get a map. When the map finally comes up, the marker's ok... so the problem could be somewhere else... but giving to me hints / comments about how I create / manage my markers could indirectly resolve my issue. In brief : 1) I wonder why my little example [2] is so slow 2) I need hints / comments on how I create / manage my markers since my little example [2] doesn't show my original problem ( red [x] markers)... That's it.
