Entering this (E14 5FW+UK) search string in the demo at: http://code.google.com/apis/maps/documentation/v3/examples/geocoding-simple.html And then entering it here: http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-GB:official&hl=en&tab=wl replicates my problem on publicly accessible sites (my reseller/outlet search and the web site it will be on are still in development). Please move this thread if it is in the wrong place as I don't want to double post.
