Hey all. I have a general question about the LatLng that gets
returned from a geocoding query for a City. For instance if i send in
"New York, New York" how does google determine the LatLng it will
return to me? Is this point the geographic center of the city or just
some point they picked that is within the city?? I notice other
mapping products pick things like the address of the town hall or some
other iconic address.... but google seems more "random" so I am
guessing they are calculating the geographic center somehow??

Also I have noticed slightly different placement of the marker on
subsequent searches of the same city for some reason.

any info on this topic would be appreciated!
