I got the Google Search Bar working on all my maps now by adding map.enableGoogleBar(); so I can offer searches on any of the maps. I'm using ME, v6 & v7 & v8 and not that worried about FireFox as it appariently has a lot of security holes, and don't think many are using Chrome at this time.
