I am starting a new project with Google Maps API and I would be really really appreciate if can give your precious advice to make it a good product. What I want to do is something like http://trendsmap.com, where the information will be coming from my database. Basically it is sharing local information. On top of each location entry, I want to include a discussion board as well.
The help that I am looking for is, what type of architecture should I follow, is there a preferred language as Google uses Python or should I just go with PHP with MVC and finally, any helpful code that I could start building up on?
