Hello, I would like to ask for some pointers for the beginning. I have a sql database (mysql) with a large number of streets - all located in the czech republic/europe. (large number = aprox. 0,5mil street names). I have street name, city, Zip code, country.
1) the aim is to draw static http page, where all the streets will be marked with a certain color. Idealy I would like to have the whole streets marked (the same way streets are marked when searching for directions), not to just have single markers. I do not have "house numbers" to any street. 2) czech republic is supported by google geocoding service, but I guess such a large amout of data might be a problem. is it possible to geocode the database part by part? or is there a different geocoding service you would recommend that is free and would allow me to populate the db with long/lat? thank you!!!! -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Maps API" group.
