Thanks, yeah I've seen these kinds of tutorials, but I don't really
want to make a custom icon per say.  I know when I've used Google Maps
via the interface, I can choose from a number of built in placemark
icons.  I'd really just like to switch to one of those.

Btw, I am looking into support for the plugin, but as with much open
source code, the support is limited to non-existent.  I've studied the
code and it hasn't yielded enough information to me, that's why I'm
trying to figure out what my other options might be.
