It doesn't.  Your scripting that uses the API and also manipulates the
DOM might, but that's just conjecture as we've never seen what you're
trying to do.   Using the recommended dynamic load procedure seems to
have fixed your problem, so I'm not at all sure what innerHTML might
have to do with any of it.
