I have fixed the problem by manually setting my Google Map API 2 to an older version to 2.184!!
This is no joke, there is something seriously wrong with the longitude from map.getBounds in versions 2.185-2.???. I hope the Google team can get a fix up pronto! My corrected site address (now fixed) is iguide (dot) travel (http:// iguide.travel), thanks. To see the problem in action, see http://iguide.travel/old.php -- an ancient version of the site.
