Why does this work:
var map = new google.maps.Map(document.getElementById("map_canvas"),
myOptions);
.... But not the jQuery equivalent?....
var map = new google.maps.Map($("map_canvas"), myOptions);
..... the error message relates to mapTypeId... which is confusing
