Hello again citizens of GMaps Have been playing arround with Street view. I find it quite interesting. In the folowing example I got several ideas of how to implement the poor dragable guy that looks arround wherever you place him (of course the zone needs to have been photographed at street level by google):
http://gmaps-samples.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/streetview/streetview_layer.html The first time you place the guy, he sits obediently and looks arround for you if you click on him, a pop up will display what he's looking at. You can zoom in and out and force him to walk arround the mapped streets. This is working great! He doesn't even wine about having to walk as much as you choose :P But what if you then want to take him away to another place? You drag from his head and see the animation of his legs tangling like a hanged man, then you place him elswhere and again he sits obediently. But now comes the issue. The poor guy seems to have flashbacks because he does not pop up the correct street. He shows the last location where he was dragged from. In order to be able to go to a different site you must press F5 to refresh your browser and then take him again to the second position. Is there any way to avoid having to refresh the whole page? I mean some function or call to be included in the script which would reset street view and show the new location instead. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Maps API" group.
